Kate Jeffery, Director of Essex Salon Awards said: "We are very excited to have hosted the inaugural Essex Salon Awards with great success. Awards are always an uplifting occasion, giving us the opportunity to recognise the dedication, innovation and creativity of our sector. To have support from the industry, and have so many salons and hairdressers take part - to see the people of Essex voting in thousands for their favourite hair salons, it is surely a testament to the quality of talented hairdressers and salon owners we have here in Essex. We can't wait for next year!
Your Community Hub invited to the inaugural Essex Salon Awards.
Here at Your Community Hub, we were delighted to be invited to the first Essex Salon Awards at Orsett Hall.
Celebrating the very best hairdressers, barbers and salons the country has to offer, we were impressed that the launch event was so well supported. From Aimez-vous in. Colchester to MACK in Chelmsford and Sadie Bareham Hair & Makeup in Frinton on Sea, all corners of the county were represented.
Orsett Hall Pavilion was the perfect venue for the occasion, and staff served up a delicious three-course meal to hungry nominees and their colleagues, friends and families.
Compere for the evening was comedian and voice-over artist Tom Ward, who served up some witty one-liners to the 24 tables.
Our very own Jo Gansbuehler was honoured to be asked to present the award for the Best Use of Social Media. There were 12 categories in total, and it was heartening to see a nod to up-and-coming hairdressers, with an accolade for Future Talent won by Ellie Bond of Spargo Hairdressing in Brentwood.
What a fantastic night for all involved - well done to Kate Jeffery, Director of Essex Salon Awards and her team for organising such an excellent event, to the sponsors and partners for their support, and of course to all the nominees and award winners - we're looking forward to next year's Essex Salon Awards already!
