The award-winning 3foot People Festival - the UK’s largest outdoor festival exclusively for pre-school children - is returning to Chelmsford this summer for their biggest year yet.
Chelmsford City Council is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy when you interact with them and use their services and venues.
On Saturday 2 June, the gates of Freighter House opened and 346 curious people came through to explore the intricate world of Chelmsford City Council's recycling and waste depot.
At an official ceremony during last night’s Full Council Meeting (Wednesday 16 May), Councillor Yvonne Spence and her husband John began their term as Mayor and Mayor’s Consort of Chelmsford for 2018 – 19.
On Saturday 2 June, the doors of Chelmsford City Council’s Recycling & Waste Depot will be thrown open for its ever-popular, free Open Day.

Residents of the city and surrounding areas can come along to find out exactly what happens to all the materials that are put out for recycling collection. Adults and children of all ages are invited to join a tour of the depot, including a chance to look around the Council’s different collection vehicles.

A city play area has been awarded special status as it has been adapted for disabled children and wheelchair users.
The Adventure Castle play area in Hylands Park is now officially accredited by PiPA, also known as Planning Inclusive Play Areas.
Work is now officially underway on the county’s first ever all-through school at Beaulieu in Chelmsford.

Construction on the new £34million school started following a ground-breaking ceremony at the site yesterday.
