Our pre-schooler classes are kept small, 4 to 5 children, to ensure that every child has a relaxed and individual experience. Each week, we create a new recipe, alternating sweet and savoury and using different fruits and vegetables. While our creations are in the oven we enjoy a short activity related to our recipe, which could include tasting new foods, planting our own veg or even a foodie experiment! When our delicious handiwork comes out the oven, we can taste together then take the remaining goodies home to share.
Our little cooks have so much fun and gain new skills from attending the classes, improving their co-ordination, practicing fine motor skills, counting and social skills but to name a few. And their grown-ups often report that the children are becoming more adventurous with their food and trying things they have been reluctant to try before.
Classes are held in my home in Helston Road, Springfield on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, with more classes being added as new little cooks sign up. Costs are £8 a session, including all ingredients, paid half termly in advance.
In addition to our pre-school classes, we offer after school clubs and holiday workshops for older children, details of which are placed on the facebook page as they are arranged and we can even host a Crafty Cooks children's birthday party for your little one's big day.
If you have a little cook who would like to join in the fun, please do get in touch to book your place.
